Weldolet
Hey all
In my project I would like to be able to add a weldolet.
I could not find any setting which will allow me this in Rohr2.
My question is, how Rohr2 handles weldolets? Is it possible to insert a weldolet?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Ioana

Re: Weldolet
I forgot to mention that the weldolet should be after EN13480.

Re: Weldolet
You can use Weldolet (TWA) for EN 13480.
But you have to use alternative equations.

Re: Weldolet
Ok.
I will do that.
Is this change by using EN13480 alternativ giving other changes in the calculation, or is just the alternative in order to use some different components (as weldolet) in the model?
Thank you for the help!

Ioana

Re: Weldolet
Hi,
you can have a look in the stress-manual, there is a description of the different equation: The main differenz in the alternative equation is, that the components of the moments (inplane/outplane/torsion) with the according sif can be considered in the calculation.

Re: Weldolet

Re: Weldolet
For EN13480:
in one of previous Rohr2 versions (31.2), in order to force Weldolet (TWA) to appear in component EN13480 list:
we had to first click on "Use alternative equation with ii and io from table H.3"
Now, I understand that from version (32.1) we don't need to first click on "Use alternative...H.3", and that TWA is already in component EN13480 menu
The question is:
In version 33.0, If we use TWA from component EN13480, and box "Use alternative...H.3" is NOT selected is it still correct for stress calculation of Weldolet?
What it means if we use TWA and NOT select "Use alternativ...H.3"?
Or do we still need to select "Use alternative..." in order to properly calculate Weldolet?

Re: Weldolet
Hi
From version 33.0 we allow to mix between the SIFs from Table H1 (singel SIF) and H3 (inplane outplane SIF).
You no longer need to explicitly ask for the separate equations to be able to use the weldolets in EN13480.
In this case the higher SIF is used for the resultant moment for the elements from H3.
Best regards
