Dear ROHR2 Support,
I would kindly ask for information, please find attached results of simulation.
I have a branch connection with a DN200, Wt 4.5mm and a reinforcement at the branch of 8mm (Wt)
The header is DN250, Wt = 4.5mm. From the EN13480 instructions, I choose for a TAV (Branch Connection)
When I checked the stress in the branch connection, they are very high because the SIF is very high. (SIF= 21.91)
Why do I use this option from the specification?
Best regards,
Geert

Re: SIF's Branch
Hi,
in table H2 of the EN13480-3 you can see, that the component has several shape conditions, which in your case are not met:, So for your branch you acutally can't use the component TAV. The SIF factor for the branch will be smaler (8,66), if you simply use the TTU component.
