Simulation Part from Model

Beitrag von GeertWouters »

Hi,

At this moment I will do a calculation for the stresses and nozzle loads on the suction line on a centrifugal pump in Rohr2, I imported a lot of PCF-files to the model in function of the project.
Is there a possibility to start the calculation only on this suction line with a specific line number? Now the program gives a lot of problems, because there is a lot of data that not filled in from the other lines.

Kind Regards,
Geert

Hi

While it is not possible to calculate only part of a model, it is very easy to copy lines from one model to another.
My suggestion would be to save your current model under a new revision (-> Save As)
Selecte the line you would like to calculate and then from the context menue
"Segments->Hide selected segment"
"Select All"
"Delete selected elements"
"Segments ->Show all segments"
Now you have a system with only one line.
You can "debug" this line.
Once you are finished with this part, open your original file again.
Select the next line(s). Use the function "copy" and then paste it in the model with the lines allready finished.
This way you can progressively build your lines without loosing the overview and without entering lines over again.

Another option would be to open only one PCF file at a time and combine your models at the end.

Best regards
